26 Using NodeUtil

Example 2

The following script defines the domain and authentication key for a device that

will be discovered and managed by a SmartServer. The script also places the

device in the configured, online state and enables network management

authentication. Run this script from the NodeUtil device menu for the device.

Step 1. Set domain 0 to unused with OMA

and set the first half of the 96-bit key.

Step 2. Set domain 1 to the discovery clone domain

and set the second half of the 96-bit key.

Step 3. Set the channel ID to 0 so that the i.LON

SmartServer can discover this device.

Step 4. Set the device to the configured state

and online

Step 5. Turn on NM authentication.

Step 6. Exit to force user to issue another

"g" command (to enter the key to talk to the device)
